Your first visit to Dr. Keller’s Office is a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we obtain important background information, like your medical history, and give you time to get to know Dr. Keller.
We want your first appointment with us to be a good start in your course for a healthy set of teeth. A positive attitude is vital in taking good care of your teeth and to achieve the winning smile you want.
Your initial visit with us will be approximately an hour. A comprehensive evaluation of your mouth (teeth, gums, bone, and surrounding tissue) will be performed. We will review your current medical status, past medical history, any medications you are using, and allergies you may have. Please bring an updated list of current medications.
A biannual cancer evaluation will be performed. To that end, we use the aid of a blue light that assist in visualizing potential abnormalities beneath the surface. Our assistants will take your vital signs and they will be recorded in your digital chart. A full set of digital radiographs (x-rays) will be taken along with digital photographs using a pen sized digital camera. You will be able to see pictures of your teeth and you will be able to participate in determining the course of treatment.
A periodontal assessment (gum & bone) will tell us about the health of the bone and gum around each tooth.
Finally, we will compose a comprehensive plan of action addressing the findings and your concerns. Your health and comfort are our primary interest. We will work together with you to achieve this goal.
We accept most PPO plans. Please contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. Dr. Keller does not participate in Health Management Organizations.
We accept check, cash, and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard). Patients portions will be due the day of the appointment. However, we are willing to work with you if there are special circumstances.
